A Window on the Amalfi Coast, Still in the Making
Behind these barred windows, a new open space devoted to the literature, art, and history of the Amalfi Coast is quietly taking shape. It is a work in progress, not yet open to the public, a room of drafts, dust, and dreams. When its doors finally open, the bars will vanish—a simple, radical gesture of openness and freedom—inviting you to cross the threshold and let the sea light in.

Work in progress
Behind these still-silent walls, an open space is slowly taking shape, like a story waiting to be written. One day, visitors will wander among shelves of carefully chosen books on art, history, and the sea, pausing to leaf through pages that whisper of sailors, poets, and the everyday lives of the Amalfi Coast. On the walls, contemporary artworks and archival photographs will converse with each other, weaving together memory and imagination. In quiet corners, small displays of letters, maps, and historical materials will reveal the fragile, precious threads of local identity.
The atmosphere will be intimate and softly luminous, infused with the scent of paper and salt air. You might hear the distant murmur of waves and the echo of voices from a small gathering: a reading at dusk, a talk with an artist, a workshop where stories are shared and preserved. Everything is still under construction, suspended in a kind of dream, and yet you can already imagine the glow of evening light on the stone, the gentle hum of conversation, the feeling of stepping into a refuge that belongs to the sea and the cliffs.
This place will be more than a room; it will be a cultural harbor dedicated to celebrating and protecting the soul of the Amalfi Coast. Here, past and future will meet: traditions will be documented, new ideas will be born, and the community will find a space to recognize itself and be seen. For now, it exists only as a promise. Close your eyes and picture it: the barred window opening onto the coast, the first sketches of the interior, the empty space quietly waiting for books, artworks, and people to arrive.

Stay tuned!
